Higher Education Administration Outcomes
The Higher Education Administration Concentration prepares graduates to:
- Work across multiple types of institutions, including the administrative functions and operations within community colleges, colleges, institutes, and universities in the U.S. and globally.
- Advance within administrative sectors of a higher education institution (e.g., administration, student life, enrollment management, financial aid).
- Articulate the history, present state, and anticipated future of higher education in a global society, including:
- Issues affecting higher education
- Roles and functions of various administrative and academic personnel, as well as students, trustees, and alumni
- Administration, leadership, and management in higher education
- Structure and governance of varied higher education institutions
- Policy and legal aspects and their impact on higher education
- Budgeting and finance within higher education
- Apply research in the field of higher education to professional practice in institutions of higher education.
- Identify local, national, and global disruptions and their impact on higher education policy and practice, in order to participate in change within higher education.
