When I was an undergraduate at my Chinese university, I majored in Broadcasting and Hosting in the last four years. This major is about the direction of the media. After I graduated from this college, I achieved my bachelor’s degree and chose to continue my postgraduate study in China. Therefore, I began to seriously prepare for my postgraduate exam and passed the exam in the end. However, for my further study, I changed my major into Journalism which is also about the direction of media. After an almost one-year study on journalism in China, I decided to study aboard in Northeastern University in America and change my major again because I want to work as an HR in the future after my serious thought. This major called Corporate and Organizational Communication with a concentration in Human Resources Management program; thus, I would devote myself to the master degree of Human Resources in the following two years.

In the past several years, I worked as an intern in the Television Station which was related to my major. This work lets me accumulate some work experience and challenge myself. In addition, I used to be a Chinese teacher which improved my communication and expression skills with students. Otherwise, I also worked as an assistant to a manager in a company in China. This broadened my horizon and attracted me to the human resources field.

In the future, I want to work as an HR in a media company located in a big city which can provide a lot of opportunities for young people. I do not think that I must work for a huge company. A medium-sized company will be more suitable for me because it is likely to be under less stress and face fewer risks. And then, I will evaluate the workers’ abilities, manage the company’s files, and interview new applicants carefully. In addition, I will stand in the boss’s perspective to solve the problems of the company. If I wanted to be a successful HR, it is also very important for me to learn the boss’s management ideas.

I’m not afraid of having no experience about HR; however, I am afraid I have no courage to try. I love challenges in my life. As long as you have the determination, it will not be too late to start achieving your goal.
