The medical problem being tackled in this project is more effective, easier cancer diagnosis and tumor response to therapy analysis. The nPLEX system is an important breakthrough in cancer diagnostics because it greatly reduces the time needed to yield results as well as the amount of patient sample needed. This would allow clinicians to ease the burden of testing that is so relevant in cancer therapy. This technology requires many different resources to design and effectively create, but this is most likely a result of the novelty of the device. Once it becomes more widespread and validated, the resources needed to create the device will become less difficult to acquire.
