ABOUT ME- Kaitlin Moore
I am a Health Science major and Spanish and Biology minor at Northeastern University. Before college, I was a dedicated gymnast for 15 years and competed in the USA gymnastics organization. I grew up in Mansfield, Massachusetts where I attended Mansfield High School and was a four-year member and senior captain of the MHS varsity gymnastics team. At Northeastern, I was a member of the varsity cheerleading team.
I love science and have wanted to be a physician my whole life. I'm also very interested in the Spanish language and hope someday to be fluent so I can communicate with Spanish-speaking populations in my career. As someone who wants to go into clinical practice, I really like the health science program at Northeastern because of its dual focus on the sciences and public health/policy.
In 2017 I partnered with a friend of mine to start the Northeastern University chapter of the College Diabetes Network. Although I do not have diabetes, with CDN I am able to provide a supportive space for college students with type 1 diabetes and educate those who are not informed.
I am also a sister of the Phi Eta chapter of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, where I have served as the coordinator of sports for two semesters. I organize intramural teams within the sorority, report sports news, and promote exercise and healthy living.
