I served on the Executive Board for Northeastern's Enabling Engineering as Treasurer for two semesters, from September 2015 to May 2015.

Enabling Engineering is a student-led, project based organization. Groups of students work together to design and build low-cost devices to improve the lives of disabled and elderly individuals. The goal of each project is to provide an end-user with a device that will improve their quality of life.

I participated in this club as a member starting September 2015, working as part of a group designing a smart mattress to reduce patients' risk of bed sores.

My responsibilities as Treasurer included:

  • Writing an application for funding
  • Tracking the annual budget
  • Approving purchase requests from project groups
  • Leading meetings
  • Periodically checking in with project groups to ensure they were on track and had any assistance that they needed to be sucessful
