At Sanofi I was part of a research team working on improving the influenza vaccine. Here I became an expert in how vaccines interact with the immune system and the engineering behind the development of vaccines. I used automated equipment to manufacture vaccines for our research and I collected data for cutting edge pre-clinical trials. Every day I was working at the bench, processing samples and collecting data through a variety of widely used assays such as fluorescence activity assays and hemagglutination inhibition (HAI) assay. It was my responsibility to keep detailed records, analyze data, and present the data and my analysis to my team.
