Community Building Excersice Reflection

In the excersise we were given a certain amount of money and we had to spend it wisely on the buildings we thought were more neccessary to build a community. Tom played the role of god and decided wether to follow what we asked for or to punish us with tax or increased prices. For some groups it was easy, for others it was hard. The idea of the excersise was for us to realise that while all communities should have an equal chance to gain access to resources, not all are treated fairly.

That is that some are praised more then others, it could be because of the members within that community, or it could be because of the wealth of the community. All in all our chances for buying buildings and other things for our community relied on the decision of one man alone. That one man doesn't always care about the outcomes and only does what he deems appropriate, so just like in the real world the decisions the communities make often cannot be accomplished by them alone. It could be fair or not but what is true is that communities arn't treated equally.
