Intercultural Communication

Intercultural Communication was a very valuable course, as I learned about cultural differences in communication and adapt my communication approach to communicate more effectively with people from other cultures. Understanding the difference between high- and low-context cultures, individualistic and collectivist societies, and more, will inform my communications efforts for working with my colleagues and with international customers.

For this project, with several of my classmates, I developed a white paper that uses these concepts to deliver recommendations about how to do business more effectively in China. From language barriers to greeting customs and other practices, we outline methods companies can employ to develop strong relationships with potential business partners in China and adhere to cultural norms.
