My name is Stephanie Leandri, I am excited to share this e-portfolio documenting my time in Northeastern University's Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication program. My concentration is in Public and Media Relations. In addition to my studies, I work as the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for Boston Event Guide.

Prior to my enrollment at Northeastern, I received my undergraduate degree in International Development Studies at McGill University. This degree opened my eyes to the complexity of development efforts, and the necessity of a strong union between socially conscious organizations and their recipients. While living in Montreal I interned for Canada World Youth, a non-profit organization that offers international volunteer programs to Canada's youth, where I advanced my research and analytical skills.

My time with Canada World Youth solidified my excitement and desire to work for incredible international organizations. This experience inspired me to apply to McGill's field study semester, a program devoted to sustainable development studies. In Barbados, I began an internship with Future Center Trust (FCT), a local environmental NGO. My work with FCT called for a strategic communication process focused on addressing the detrimental impacts of single-use plastics on the island. I produced educational materials, created and delivered educational presentations, and ran a multi-platform social media campaign called "Ban the Bag Barbados." Additionally, I provided the government of Barbados with policy recommendations at the culmination of my internship. My experience in Barbados solidified my passion for public relations, as I excelled in balancing the image of the organization while conveying an imperative, yet demanding message.

Moving forward, I am now eager to further develop my skills to pursue a profession in public relations management for a development-oriented organization dedicated to bolstering the fragile state of today's world.
