I am Yuxin Jiao also go by Victoria. I come from a northeastern city named Harbin in China. I got my bachelor’s degree in English from Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in 2016. I completed my master’s degree at Northeastern University, 2019, major in Corporate and Organizational Communication, concentrated in Public Relations.

During the four years of my undergraduate, I am active in different student organizations. I worked as the president of Youth Volunteers Association of Foreign Language Department, host and lead many volunteer activities in elementary school, nursing home, etc. Besides, I am one of the art department of the student union of my college, working together with other team members to host English Speech Competition, Top 10 Singers Contest. I am also a member of the National Orchestra of HEU as the second chair of Erhu. With these different experiences, I feel that communication with people is an interest for me, so I worked as Public Relations and Marketing intern for almost a year. I challenged myself a lot when dealing with various situations. I noticed I do not have enough theoretical knowledge to support my practice. Hence, I went to Boston to pursue my master’s degree in communication.

During the past two years as a graduate student, I have been taken 15 classes in total. Eleven of them are core classes for communication, include eight required courses and three elective courses. Four of them are classes of Public Relations concentration. I have learned and improved different skills from those classes. Meanwhile, those classes helped me to strengthen my determination to do work related to public relations, communication, and marketing in my future career path.
